I grabbed the garmin nuvi 270 for trips around and in the ireland area, and seeing as how garmin is the only gps system that seems to offer truly up to the date maps of Ireland, it really was a no brainer to go with them, I did however spend some time reading garmin nuvi 270 reviews and those for the 370 and 670 as well to finally decide on this cheaper and more cost effective model.
I am quite cheap and didn’t think that I would need the extra bonus’s that the nuvi 370 and 670 offered, and I have truly been satisfied with the garmin 270 regardless while saving some money over the more expensive units.
One thing to note between the nuvi270 and others, is that the other europe models that are more expensive will prononoune road names instead of more generic turns like the 270 offers, which could be very useful for some people, although during my trip I felt like the machine would have had some troubles pronouncing some of the names and more complex road ways I encounted.
Not perfect but definitely will be a major improvement in your life, I am quite picky and stubborn about driving after being a bus operator for nearly 20 years, and I had no problems and was totally happy to adapt to the changes and improvements the garmin nuvi 270 gps brought to my navigation and traveling.
