When I first got my Nuvi 650 in the mail and took it out of the packaging it looked so nice with the shiny 4.3” screen and the map database features nearly six million points of interest (POIs), including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions, and the data is provided by NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium-quality mapping. My Nuvi 650 also came with many additional features such as uploading custom POIs, including alerts for speed zones and safety cameras with POI Loader Built in Travel Kit includes MP3 player with sample MP3s, audio books, picture viewer, world clock, currency and measurement converters, calculator, adding optional software such as Travel and Language Guides, and much more!

The lowest price I found for a Garmin Nuvi 650 was online. This seems to be the same with most items; online retailers can just afford to make less profit because of the much larger market they can reach. Even Wal-Mart cannot compete with it. Ebay.com had some good discounts but I found the best discounts to be on Amazon.com. Their lowest price was about 40% off the retail cost.

The Garmin Nuvi 650 has saved me hours of aggravation. Its routes are intelligent and easy to follow on the map and it was extremely easy to set up and program in my favorite places.

The accuracy is great. I’ve never had it make any mistakes and it recalculates your route instantly if you make a wrong turn or there’s a closed road or something stopping you from taking the route it chose.

The maps are very accurate on the Nuvi 650 from Garmin. The Navteq people actually crawl the globe updating it and if you spot an error you can report it on the website and it will be fixed on the next downloadable map update.
