When I first got my Nuvi 650 in the mail and took it out of the packaging it looked so nice with the shiny 4.3” screen and the map database features nearly six million points of interest (POIs), including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions, and the data is provided by NAVTEQ, a world leader in premium-quality mapping. My Nuvi 650 also came with many additional features such as uploading custom POIs, including alerts for speed zones and safety cameras with POI Loader Built in Travel Kit includes MP3 player with sample MP3s, audio books, picture viewer, world clock, currency and measurement converters, calculator, adding optional software such as Travel and Language Guides, and much more!

Garmin Nuvi 360 Review from Melissa:

I have been using a Nuvi 350 until recently when I decided to purchase the Nuvi 360 due to its Bluetooth features. The 360 shares all the perks of the 350 which include, extremely accurate satellite positioning, an extremely bright and sharp screen, an mp3 player, audio book player, and much more. However, the main reason why I bought the Nubi 360 was due to the addition of the usage of Bluetooth to dial any POI on your Nuvi screen. This means that once you connect your phone to your Nuvi via Bluetooth, any POI on the Nuvi screen that has a telephone number can now be contacted! You are essentially a walking telephone book, with accurate directions and a fashionable gps system!

Garmin Nuvi 260 Review from Jason:

I currently own both a Nuvi 250 and a 260, both of which are excellent and wonderful devices, and the most useful new feature that the 260 has and the 250 doesn’t have is the text to speech feature. This means that the gps system actually says the street name or exit at which you must turn. The 250 simply says “Turn at XXX feet,” which would have you constantly glancing back at your Nuvi 250 looking to see what the exit or street name is and making sure that you are turning at the right exit/street. With this new text to speech the Nuvi 260 says “Turn left on Maple Street,” and all you have to do is look at the street sign and make sure that it is Maple Street.

I take my Garmin Nuvi 680 with me on all of my business trips which include trips to California and Washington, and my Nuvi 680 has never let me down a single time! My Nuvi 680 came preloaded NavTeq City Navigator NT street maps for North America, and included a 6 MILLION POI database with hotels, restaurants, fuel stops, ATMs and more! Its super bright screen allows users to use it driving/walking in direct sunlight with no problem. The two biggest reasons I bought the Nuvi 680 over any other model was the fact that the 680 comes with Bluetooth wireless connectivity AND MSN direct.

As I was shopping for a new gps unit, the Garmin Nuvi 250 Pocket GPS Navigator caught my eye. This unit was small enough, and thin enough, to fit in ones’ pocket, had a brilliant touchscreen display, a high-sensitivity WAAS-enabled GPS receiver for extreme accuracy, no external antennae, and come preloaded with all the maps, and includes locations of fuel, food, and atms.

The first Nuvi 250W that I bought came in had a faulty battery that wouldn’t hold a charge for longer than half an hour. However, after I sent it back in and got a working specimen, I was amazed at how clear the 4.3” widescreen lcd was. I previously had a no name third party gps system and it has a whole slew of buttons and had a tiny screen. The simplicity of the touchscreen and the layout of the gps struck me as just purely beautiful. Furthermore, when I checked the maps by both driving on local and urban routes, I found that the maps were up to date and flawless. I have been using my Garmin Nuvi 670 to plan out of state trips with friends and it never stops making me wonder how I lived without it before. The map database is extremely detailed and accurate, and even contains 6 MILLION POIs, which means that there are 6 million hotels, restaurants, and atms that I can stop by if I needed to. In addition, the gps system’s voice even announces the name of exits and streets so you never have to take your eyes off the road, and can concentrate on your driving without having to look up at your gps to make sure that the street you’re turning on is indeed the correct one.

All the places that I was going to visit had already been entered into the gps unit as a “favorite” location. Every street that I saw in Paris was on the map in my Nuvi, and a cool option that I noticed was that my Nuvi automatically organizes your “favorite” locations by moving the closest location to the top of the list. In addition to having accurate maps of Europe, I was able to load unto it the translation guide, which translated certain words and phrases for you. Other features such as the currency converter helped me when it came to exchanging money and estimating how much something cost. What astonished me was that I have my Nuvi in my front pocket the whole trip and I couldn’t even tell that I still had it in my pocket half the time.

After living in New York City for 10 years, hopping on some train to get to some part of the city was such a mundane part of life that I never really appreciated it. The new garmin nuvi 770 is a transatlantic ready system, meaning that if you really want to take advantage of its full feature set, your probably going to want to make sure you really may be taking this thing across the ocean, for travels both in Europe and North America (step down to the nüvi 760 or nüvi 750 to save some bucks if you only need North American)

There is a whole bunch of new tools and features that make navigation with the 7XX ‘Premier” models the best and most comprehensive experience yet, and early previews and reviews of garmin’s nuvi 770 indicate that this will be another highly acclaimed, chart topping, perfect score receiving gadget from Garmin Navigation!

The Garmin Nuvi 760 is now released - and is starting to hit stores in waves! This thing is hard to find, with shoppers snapping up the initial wave of units quite quickly and leaving the slow consumers unable to find one mid october. Look for the Garmin Nuvi 760 craze to be in full effect as the holiday shopping season approaches though, and for it to be one of the best selling and in demand gps devices much like the Nuvi 660 auto gps system which quickly rose the charts as one of the top 5 best selling electronics of holiday season 2007.

The new garmin nuvi 760 offers a new and exciting feature set, while maintaining the tried and trued features and utilities that have made the garmin nuvi series units hold 8 out of 10 most popular systems for the last year (not due to lack of competition!)

The new garmin nuvi 750 gps has been released and is looking great for enthusiasts, budgets shoppers and first time buyers all at once! It’s a great mix of performance, low pricing and high end features, and should quickly become the most popular selling GPS unit as the holiday season approaches and the word of mouth gets out.
